0.9.1.rc1 published

The 0.9.1-rc1 release of IoTivity is out. This release brings IoTivity closer to the OIC draft specification. This is a release candidate, for testing by the community; the final 0.9.1 will come soon.

Major new features in this release are:

General features

  • Support for Arduino Due/Mega
  • Introduction of Java-based API for Android

Connectivity features

  • Support for High QoS  service
  • Support for channel encryption using DTLS

Service features

  • Introduction of the Soft Sensor Manager API (Linux, Android and Tizen supported)
  • Introduction of an API to load and manage plugins for non-OIC services
    • Sample plugins provided: Hue (Java-based) and MQTT (C and C++)
  • Introduction of an API to manage multiple devices as a group (Linux, Android and Tizen supported)
  • Support for virtual devices (Linux, Android and Tizen supported)
